Dota 2

Dota 2 can get you addicted faster than you think

Dota 2, which is a sequel to DOTA1 and is very similar to the Warcraft series, was released in 2013 with stunning graphics in the MOBA genre and was well-received by professional gamers worldwide. Valve Corporation made this game. The start of the Dota 2 Project was begun by iceFrog, who Valve hired.

This game is originally a Mod for Warcraft, which Blizzard made. In fact, the primary reason for creating this game was to build a modern game with the famous Source engine. It was officially released for Microsoft Windows, Linux-based PCs, and OS X through the Steam platform in July 2013.  The BETA OPEN SOURCE version of the game was released in 2011 for Windows.

Dota 2 graphics

DOTA 2 is a competition with two teams of five heroes; each team must defend its Base Camp (headquarter) and destroy the enemy Base Camp. Each of these ten players independently controls a character called a hero.

All of these heroes have different abilities, powers, and game styles. During the round, players must upgrade their hero by purchasing items designed for each hero to defeat the opposing team's heroes. The winning team is the one who destroys the main building, which is called the Ancient.

But if we want to talk about the game's graphics, we must say that DOTA2 has made amazing progress compared to DOTA1 in terms of graphics, and it demands better system requirements than its predecessor. When you see the game environment for the first time, you will be amazed by the new textures. Apart from the graphics, there is also a new Solo section added to the game.

Dota 2 gameplay

Let's continue our discussion on DOTA 2 gameplay. As we said, the main reason for the popularity of this game is its gameplay. This game has more than 115 heroes, and every once in a while, we see new heroes are introduced. This variety of heroes leaves gamers free to choose whatever heroes they desire and brings them an incredibly engaging experience. Heroes are divided into three different categories: Strength, Agility, and Intelligence, and again, each is divided into three separate and general categories: Carry, Taunts, Support.

Which hero to choose from, which category, and with what ability depends on your playing style. Besides, the game has billions of different modes for layout; for example, after four years of playing, I still didn't see two similar layouts in rounds.

The structure of heroes

There are four abilities for each hero. The first three abilities are related to the main powers you can use during the round, depending on the amount of Cooldown (rest), which is usually less than 1 or 2 minutes. But the last ability is a unique ability for each hero, and it is completely different from other heroes and usually requires more Cooldown.

Dota 2 Map

The game has a main map that has three paths called Up, Mid, Bot. Suppose you want to know which area is the best for each here. You need a lot of experience, and you can not answer this question with only a few hours of playing. If we divide the map into two teams, each side has places equal to the other side; these places are Main Forest, Small Jungle, Ruins. In a new update that was released, major changes were made to the map, the most important of which was the Shrine, which played a very important role in restoring heroes' health.

Another new thing that was added later is Roshan. In this place, which is near the river and almost near the Mid part, there is a creature with more power than all the heroes. It has a lot of strength, and usually, you have to attack this enormous giant as a team to kill it. After Roshan is killed, you receive an item that revives you after death.

Dota 2 Rank

If someone does little or does not play well in a team, you will witness the destruction of your team and your efforts in no time. The only advice I can give you is to make as few mistakes as possible and have maximum cooperation with your teammates, especially if you play the role of support, you have an important task. Definitely, in a regular round that lasts more than 45 minutes (sometimes it has been seen that it is 3 to 5 hours), winning and losing will be very important to you. So try to do your job in the best way.

Of course, Valve has added a section called Rank in the game, based on which you meet fewer beginners in a round of play, and your opponents and teammates are selected based on their Rank.

In the end, it should be said that DOTA 2 is undoubtedly a masterpiece in the style of MOBA, the experience of which is recommended to everyone. The game may have problems, but the technical problems are solved quickly, and throughout these years, Valve has shown its constant support for this game. But with all this, if you like this game, you will undoubtedly get addicted to it, and you will spend hours playing it.
